The larvae of the wax moth (Galleria mellonella) are extremely suitable food for reptiles, birds, amphibians and fish.
The advantage of the wax moth larvae is that they are easily digestible. Wax moth larvae are energy and protein rich.
Because the wax moths have a low chitin content (the hard skin of mealworms, among others), the wax moths are much easier to digest.
